East Cooper Medical Office Facility

A drone’s eye view of the East Cooper Medical Offices in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The new three-story medical facility (approx. 70,000 sq ft), a major addition to the hospital, brings critical new medical services to the region and better infrastructure to the area including a new spine surgery center and associated facilities equipped with MRI services.

Our team provided civil site design, permitting, hydrology analysis, and site development entitlements and design services.

During development, Contineo and our project partners were especially attentive to stormwater mitigation, infiltration, and pollutant elimination requirements because forty percent of the new facility’s 10-acre site is undeveloped to protect Shem Creek and its associated wetlands. We designed extensive road network upgrades required for the campus expansion, and pervious pavement systems in specific parking lot areas to assist with stormwater mitigation.

We also provided concepts to show opportunities for future building projects on the 10-acre master property.
