McLemore Resort Named #1 Best Trip in 2025 Georgia Official State Travel Guide
We are thrilled to announce that McLemore Resort has been honored as the #1 Best Trip in the 2025 Georgia Official State Travel Guide by the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Perched atop Lookout Mountain in Rising Fawn, Georgia, McLemore Resort offers a luxurious retreat with breathtaking views, world-class amenities, and a variety of activities for all ages.
Contineo’s Involvement
McLemore has recently unveiled The Keep, a new 18-hole championship golf course that promises an unparalleled mountain golf experience. Designed by renowned architects Rees Jones and Bill Bergin, The Keep features five cliff-edge holes and expansive fairways, offering golfers of all skill levels a challenging and scenic experience. The Keep also happens to be one of our projects here at Contineo Group. Our team also developed the resort’s new hotel and conference center: Cloudland.
We are immensely proud to have played a pivotal role in bringing the course to life. Our team provided comprehensive civil engineering services, including site design and infrastructure development, to support the creation of this exceptional experience. Working alongside internationally recognized golf course architects, we ensured that the courses harmoniously integrate with the natural landscape, offering players an unforgettable play-through.
A One-of-a-Kind Experience: Best Trip Indeed
McLemore Resort offers a range of accommodations. These include the Cloudland Lodge, a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel, set to open in Spring 2024. Guests can enjoy cliff-edge dining and a world-class spa. A variety of outdoor activities also define the resort. Go hiking or biking, or explore nearby natural attractions like Rock City Gardens and Lula Lake.
It’s no wonder this special place has been named #1 Best Trip. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to McLemore Resort on this well-deserved recognition. Contineo Group is honored to have contributed to its development. We also look forward to seeing the resort continue to provide exceptional experiences for visitors from Georgia and beyond.
