Once an abandoned steel mill, Atlantic Station today is a popular, walkable, mixed-use development west of Midtown Atlanta. The transformation from industrial wasteland to a vibrant community is considered one of the largest and most successful urban brownfield projects in the US.
A rich mix of residences, retail, restaurants, and offices surround a “town square” that serves as a gathering spot for concerts and festivals, even ice skating in winter. The crown jewel is a ribbon park with green space and walkways for strolling and people watching.
A destination unto itself, Atlantic Station has proved to be a catalyst for the comprehensive rebirth of Atlanta’s westside.
